How do I inspire myself to eat healthy?

Are you looking for inspiration to maintain a healthy diet? In this article, discover how I manage to keep my body healthy despite a busy schedule, without imposing restrictions, and still enjoy delicious meals. From mindful grocery shopping to cooking homemade meals, and exploring new recipes, I'll share my strategies for making healthy decisions, a sustainable and enjoyable lifestyle.

Grocery Shopping

It is essential to approach grocery shopping consciously. I quickly take inventory of what I might need in the kitchen – legumes, pasta, rice, fruits, vegetables, etc. Of course, when I arrive at the supermarket, it is inevitable that a bag of chips or chocolate might sneak in.

When I get home, I prefer to store the groceries in the pantry and leave a large basket of fresh fruits visible. I tend to forget what I have stored in the pantry and may be tempted to eat what I see.

Cooking

I always opt for preparing meals at home. I know exactly what I put in and how much I put. This way, I avoid consuming processed and unhealthy foods. Most of the time, I cook dishes that I grew up with, following my mom's recipes. But when I want to explore new ideas, my go-to sources are Pinterest and YouTube. My favorites are Pick Up Limes and Avant Garde Vegan. I only follow what inspires me and suits my taste, aligning with my ideals and beliefs.

Snacks

It's impossible not to crave something to munch on between meals or especially when watching a movie. My favorites are nuts, seeds, a platter of fresh fruits and vegetables, and popcorn.

Beverages

I've learned a lot about the power of plants from my mother. Depending on the ailments I was experiencing, I managed to alleviate symptoms or even heal using their assistance.

Therefore, consuming herbal teas is part of my daily routine. They have numerous benefits and also help to hydrate and revitalize the body.

All of our organs need water, so it is recommended to consume at least 2 liters of water per day. I like to add a few slices of lemon, cucumber, oranges, or chia seeds to make drinking water a more pleasant and interesting experience.
