Classic hummus

Classic hummus - creamy, fluffy, with a slight garlic flavor, perfect for an appetizer, breakfast or added to sandwiches, wraps and bowls.

Who doesn't love hummus? I personally love it, it is so nutritious, rich in protein and minerals.

I used canned chickpeas because it is much more handy if I want to prepare something quickly, but if I have time, you can prepare the chickpeas in advance and leave them to soak overnight in water. This way you save money, because it is much more advantageous to buy dried legumes, but there are cases where canned ones can be very handy.

Even if I used canned chickpeas, I boiled them in water for 5 minutes, thus the chickpeas are softer and fluffier.

Ingredients:

  • 2 cans of chickpeas

  • 2 tablespoons tahini

  • 2 cloves of garlic

  • 150 ml of mineral water

  • 5 tablespoons of olive oil

  • 1/2 teaspoon coriander powder

  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cumin

  • salt, pepper - to taste

Method:

  1. Add all the ingredients in a food processor and blend them for about 5 minutes, until you reach a creamy consistency.
