Carbonara with Verdino bacon

Carbonara with Verdino bacon, a delicious meal with whole wheat spaghetti, white veggie cream sauce, crispy Verdino bacon and some spices.

I was pleasantly surprised by how well this pasta turned out. I tried to get as close as I could to the original taste, and it worked.

Portions: 2

Preparation time: 10 minutes

Cooking time: 15 minutes

Ingredients:

  • 250 g whole wheat spaghett

  • 4 tablespoons of coconut yogurt

  • 1/2 teaspoon pasta seasoning

  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper

  • 1/4 teaspoon of salt

  • 1 tablespoon nutritional yeast

  1. Bring the pasta water to a boil with a little salt. When the water starts to boil, cook the pasta according to package directions.

  2. Finely chop the onions and saute with a little oil in a wok.

  3. Add the finely chopped garlic and mix well. Let them cook for another 1 minute.

  4. Place the bacon strips in the pan and cook for 3 minutes.

  5. Add the soy sauce and cook for another 30 seconds.

  6. Mix the rice cream with the yogurt in a small bowl and pour it into the pan.

  7. Add the rest of the spices and let the sauce thicken for about 5 minutes on medium heat.

  8. When the pasta is ready, put it over the sauce and mix well.

  9. Sprinkle with a little nutritional yeast when serving.

  10. Enjoy!
