Carbonara with Verdino bacon
Carbonara with Verdino bacon, a delicious meal with whole wheat spaghetti, white veggie cream sauce, crispy Verdino bacon and some spices.
I was pleasantly surprised by how well this pasta turned out. I tried to get as close as I could to the original taste, and it worked.
Portions: 2
Preparation time: 10 minutes
Cooking time: 15 minutes
Ingredients:
250 g whole wheat spaghett
2 small onions
3 cloves of garlic
bacon strips from Verdino - 125 grams
1/2 teaspoon soy sauce
rice cooking cream - 250 ml Alpro
4 tablespoons of coconut yogurt
1/2 teaspoon pasta seasoning
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1/4 teaspoon of salt
1 tablespoon nutritional yeast
Method:
Bring the pasta water to a boil with a little salt. When the water starts to boil, cook the pasta according to package directions.
Finely chop the onions and saute with a little oil in a wok.
Add the finely chopped garlic and mix well. Let them cook for another 1 minute.
Place the bacon strips in the pan and cook for 3 minutes.
Add the soy sauce and cook for another 30 seconds.
Mix the rice cream with the yogurt in a small bowl and pour it into the pan.
Add the rest of the spices and let the sauce thicken for about 5 minutes on medium heat.
When the pasta is ready, put it over the sauce and mix well.
Sprinkle with a little nutritional yeast when serving.
Enjoy!
