Crispy shiitake

Crispy shiitake mushrooms served with a fresh salad with greens, drizzled with lemon juice - a delight!

Every time I go shopping, something interesting catches my eye, something I haven't cooked before, and it just inspires me to create something new. That's how these shiitake mushrooms ended up in my kitchen. They have a very pleasant appearance, drier than popular champignon mushrooms and a more earthy taste.

I chose to make them liek this because it preserves their texture and shape better, only the crust gets browned while the mushrooms remain soft and flavorful. The freshness of the salad and the lemon juice squeezed over the mushrooms is the perfect combination. How great it would be if you could taste it through the pictures!
